Phase I: Peptide synthesis. Time: 3-4 weeks.

  • 15 mg of 15 aa peptide with 90% purity is synthesized. 5 mg of free peptide will be delivered to the customer together with the antibody.

Phase II: Immunization and ELISA screening. Time: 8-10 weeks.

  • Conjugation: The peptide or small protein is conjugated to a carrier protein, such as KLH. Normally, 5-10 mg of peptide is required.
  • Immunization: 5 Balb/c mice (3 rats) are immunized and boosted with standard immunization protocol.
  • Screening: Tail bleedings are screened by LISA or other method if needed.

Phase III: Fusion and screening. Time: 4-8 weeks.

  • Fusion: Up to 2 fusions (1-2 spleens per fusion) are performed on the best mice that responded the best to the immunization. Additional fusions are available at an extra charge.
  • Screening: The hybridoma cells are expanded and screened by ELISA or other method if needed to obtain satisfied clones.

Phase IV: Subcloning, expansion, cryopreservation and delivery. Time: 4-6 weeks.

  • Subcloning: Subclone up to 5 parental clones by limiting dilution and isotyped, expand and freeze 2 subclones for each parental clone.
  • Delivery: Two vials of cell culture for each subclone and 5 ml of culture supernatants from the clones is delivered to the customer. Additional parental clones are available at an extra charge.

Total Time: 5-7 months.
