Make 12 nm Gold Probes with any Molecule
Use Maleimido-12 nm Nanogold® to selectively label any molecule with an accessible thiol, such as a cysteine residue, or Sulfo-NHS-12 nm Nanogold® to label amines, such as N-terminal amines or lysine residues. With Amino-12 nm Nanogold®, you can label carbohydrates or carboxylic acids.

- Ideal for post-embedding labeling: no need for silver or gold enhancement.
- Expanded size choices: there’s a size for every application. Use 1.4 nm Nanogold® for high resolution molecular labeling, and larger 5 or 12 nm Nanogold® for visualization on a cellular scale.
- Double or triple labeling made easy: three non-overlapping sizes – 1.4 nm, 5 or 12 nm. Or, silver or gold enhance the 1.4 nm Nanogold®, then use 5 or 12 nm Nanogold® for the second target.
- Highly monodisperse: Size variation less than 10%.
- Molecular precision: make smaller primary probes that get the gold closer to the target.
- Site-specific conjugation enables programmed incorporation into nanostructured materials or components of self-assembling systems.
- Stable, soluble and biocompatible: designer coating gives solubility and biocompatible for in vivo use. No residual charge means minimal non-specific binding.
- Straightforward conjugation: no need for extra polymers or stabilizing agents, and no salt titrations or optimization.
