Nanogold® fusion tag labeling made easy
Bring the versatility of fluorescent labeling to EM
Using Nanogold® labeling reagents, you can make fusion tag labeling reagents for electron microscopy as easily as making fluorescent tag labels. Just use the building blocks with the appropriate reactive group, and label with the corresponding Nanogold® labeling reagent.
That includes ligands that bind to commonly used fusion tags, like HaloTag®, Clip® and Snap-tags®. Using the simple one-step conjugation reactions shown above, you can prepare bioorthogonal Nanogold® probes to localize tagged fusion protein in tissue sections, cells, or even living organisms.
Plus, we now offer a wider range of sizes – 1.4 nm, 5 nm and 12 nm Nanogold®, as well as our ultrasmall 0.8 nm Undecagold for specialized high-resolution EM applications. All are available as amines for labeling NHS-modified ligands, Sulfo-NHS derivatives for labeling amino-modified ligands, as well as maleimides for labeling thiols. Many are also available as Click labeling reagents, or for charge-based labeling.
