Description

Alizarin (Rubia, Rezza, alizarin crimson, crimson madder) is an organic compound and an important prominent dye. Alizarin is the main colorant found in the madder plant Rubia tinctorum. An orange-red crystalline compound used in making red pigments and in dyeing. Alizarin (Rubia, Rezza, alizarin crimson, crimson madder) is produced artificially from anthracene. Alizarin (Rubia, Rezza, alizarin crimson, crimson madder) produces the Turkish reds.
