Western Blot: Approx 100kDa band observed in lysates of cell line A549 (calculated MW of 106kDa according to NP_004612.2). Preliminary experiments also showed 100kDa in Human Lung lysates and in lysates of cell line HEK293.This molecular weight is routinely observed by other sources. Recommended concentration: 0.3-1µg/ml. Primary incubation 1 hour at room temperature.Flow Cytometry: Flow cytometric analysis of A549 cells. Recommended concentration: 10ug/ml.Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:2000.

Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel (PubMed:19936226, PubMed:23291369). Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C (PubMed:26892346). Seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion (uniprot).
