Description
This cell is a trypsinized variant of the LS180 colon adenocarcinoma cell line. It is easier to pass down than the parent and produces a large number of Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) like LS180. Electron microscopy studies show that it has abundant microfilaments and cytoplasmic mucin vacuoles; serological tests are positive for rectal antigen 3; p53 antigen is negative but mRNA is positive; keratin is positive; oncogenes c-myc, N-myc, H The expressions of -ras, N-ras, Myb and fos were positive; the expression of oncogenes k-ras and sis were not tested; IL-10, IL-6 and mucin can be produced.
