Description

Bombesin-like peptides (BLP) include amphibian bombesin and mammalian/amphibian gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP). In which the bioactive amidated carboxyl-terminal amino acid sequence is His-Leu-Met-NH2. BLPs are potent mitogens. Phyllolitorins are related to BLPs with a Ser-(Leu/Phe)-Met-NH2 sequence.
