Description

Whole blood is collected from young healthy rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) Breeds: New
Zealand White and/or California White that are 8-12 weeks of age at the time of slaughter, either
sex. The blood is processed within 6 hours, and frozen at -20 ˚C. The serum is then thawed in
a cool water bath, pooled, heat-inactivated at 56 ˚C for 30 minutes, sterile filtered through a 0.22
micron filter, bottled and returned to -20 ˚C.
