Description
Whole blood is collected from young healthy rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) Breeds: New
Zealand White or California White, that are 8 – 12 weeks of age, either sex, and fasted at the
time of slaughter. The blood is refrigerated within 6 hours, processed within 24 hours and
frozen at -20 °C. The serum is thawed, pooled, passed through a 0.22 micron filter, bottled, and
returned to -20 °C.
