Description

Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR1) is the receptor for VEGF, VEGFB and PGF. VEGFR1 has a tyrosine-protein kinase activity for signal transduction during vascular development (angiogenesis) and regulation of vascular permeability. VEGFR1 is mainly expressed in vascular endothelial cells but also in peripheral blood monocytes.
